The Municipality of Trzebownisko has secured PLN 4,075,700 in funding from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism for the implementation of the project entitled “Construction of a Full-Size Football Training Pitch in Stobierna with the Expansion of the Changing Room Building.” The grant was awarded under the Full-Size Football Pitch Construction Programme – 2025 Edition.
The amount of funding obtained is the highest in Rzeszow County and the second highest in the Podkarpackie Region. The total value of the investment amounts to PLN 10,013,703.
The project includes the construction of a full-size training football pitch with an artificial surface and cork infill, equipped with irrigation and drainage systems as well as modern lighting. The investment will also include sports equipment, a covered spectator stand, parking areas, walkways, fencing, and landscaping works.
An important part of the project is the expansion and modernization of the sanitary and changing room building, which will be adapted to current standards and made fully accessible for people with disabilities.
The new sports infrastructure will serve the residents of Stobierna, players and members of KS Stobierna Football Club, as well as children, young people, and all users of sports facilities throughout the municipality.
The investment is also a key component of the broader Swierkowiec Valley development project, located on the border of Stobierna and Jasionka. Covering approximately 30 hectares and stretching for nearly 3 kilometres, the area will be transformed into a modern recreational zone and one of the most attractive destinations for active leisure in the municipality.
The Swierkowiec Valley project includes the creation of numerous recreational and leisure facilities, such as a pump track, playgrounds, outdoor gyms, relaxation areas for children and adults, an ecological orchard, recreational beaches, sports fields, and many other attractions. A pedestrian and cycling path is also planned along the entire area, connecting all zones and ensuring convenient access throughout the complex.
The newly created space will be open and accessible to all residents of the Municipality of Trzebownisko. The investment is intended not only to support the development of sport but also to promote recreation, social integration, and active lifestyles for people of all ages.
The implementation of the project will begin after the funding agreement is signed and is expected to take several months to complete.
Securing additional external funding once again confirms the effectiveness of Trzebownisko Municipality’s efforts to develop sports and recreational infrastructure. Through consistently implemented investments, modern and functional spaces are being created to meet residents’ needs and support the development of the local community.
