On May 11, the first groups of kindergarten children from the Municipality of Trzebownisko began participating in sensory integration workshops held at the SENSIS Sensory Therapy Centre in Rzeszow. The workshops are carried out as part of the “Social Bonus” project, co-financed by the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 programme under Measure 04.13 “High-Quality Social Inclusion System”. Thanks to the funding obtained, children from the Municipality of Trzebownisko can benefit from free specialist support services.
The workshops take the form of regular sessions combining multisensory activities and movement exercises supporting children’s development. Participants take part in activities conducted in the Snoezelen Room (Multisensory Environment Room) as well as exercises held in sensory integration rooms equipped with specialist therapeutic equipment.
The aim of the workshops is to support children’s proper sensory development, improve concentration and motor coordination, and develop skills related to receiving and processing sensory stimuli. The sessions are conducted by qualified therapists and are adapted to the age and abilities of the participants.
